European Maths Summit gets started in Berlin

More than 1000 mathematicians from all over the world visit the 7th European Congress of Mathematics at the TU Berlin.






For one week - from 18th to 22nd July - the scientists will discuss the entire spectrum of contemporary mathematics. The scientific committee has chosen an attractive program of 10 plenary and 31 invited lectures, 42 mini-symposia and 87 contributed sessions.

The Congress began with the Opening Ceremony. 12 renowned pizes were awarded to mostly young mathematicians. More information about the laureates can be found here.
