Technology Transfer - The Matheon Internship Program
Matheon is actively promoting
internships of high-capacity mathematics student in industrial partner companies by means of
the Matheon Internship Program: During 4 months appropriate mathematics students are working
on defined practical R&D problems of our industrial partners with permanent supervision of
Matheon scientists. The financing of students and scientists
is effected in partnership by Matheon and the industrial partner.
Benefits for industrial partners
If you have a R&D problem of appropriate complexity, an internship of one of our students
can represent a comfortable possibility to get it solved. At the same time, the internship presents
a good opportunity to get in contact to potential high-capacity job candidates,
as well as to the academic expertise of our scientific experts - all that without
risks and large financial commitments.
Benefits for internship students
Next to an equitable renumeration, these internships give students the opportunity to get
insight into the industrial practice at an early stage of their formation, frequently
an experience beyond price.
Benefits for Matheon
We do not make a secret of our own interests in the Matheon
Internship program: First, high-capacity students with practical insight from an internship
are welcome as candidates for PhD positions and application-driven research within Matheon.
Second, internships are a good opportunity for us to convince our industrial partners of the great
potential that our mathematical approaches can offer. And at best an internship provides the trustful basis for further and more extensive
research cooperations.
